



Printmaking is a fickle beast, and it reminds me of Goldilocks. You have to get the perfect amount of ink on your brayer, pressure on your baren, and registration of your block — Or it’s all wrong! Here’s a quick illustration of my thoughts, in the form of a drypoint print.
Ok, so I may be living in Dubai, but I WILL BE a part of Narragansett Brewery’s Made On Honor Market again this year. It will be November 23-24 noon to 6pm at the WaterFire Arts Center on Valley Street. My booth will be manned in my absence, featuring lots of new and old work. Show up, check out art, and toss back some tall boys for me!
It’s been a hectic couple of months, including multiple moves and the start of a new job, so I haven’t had much access to supplies. However, I’ve made a point to routinely sketch every chance I get, so here are a handful of new figures. I’ll be back with more finished work soon!
I haven’t printed this block since 2008, but revisited it yesterday as the confusion of intersecting lines was a precursor to my recent Chaparral series.
