Plastic at Tashkeel

I’m contributing work to Plastic, an upcoming show at Tashkeel Studio & Gallery in Nad Al Sheba. The group exhibition focuses on the impact of plastics in our environment. The exhibition runs March 4th - April 14th, with an opening reception Tuesday, March 3rd, at 7pm.

About my piece:

Animals in the ocean are not the only ones to have their homes effected by plastic pollution and climate change. In this illustration, we see our coastal lives destroyed by rising sea levels caused by the melting of polar ice caps. As we brace to lose much of our inhabited shoreline this century, we search for protection against the ongoing threat to our coastal infrastructure.
