New Prints, Old Block
Upcoming Book Events
I’ll be back in the US next week, for the first time in over a year, and I have two book events to celebrate the release of The End is at Hand.
First, on Saturday, March 11, I’ll be at Weaver Library in East Providence from 12:30 to 1:30. Next, on Thursday, March 16, I’ll be at Symposium Books in Providence, starting at 6:30. I’ll bring linocut blocks used to illustrate the book, I’ll talk about how the book came to be, and we can discuss the many ways the world could end. Both events are free to attend and open to all. No reservations necessary.
First Draft of Composite Lino Print
This is my first attempt at a composite piece that I’m working on. I like the layout, but next I’ll try different colors and a less textured paper.
Linocut Workshop at Sikka Art Festival
I’ll be doing another linocut printmaking workshop at this year’s Sikka Art Festival. Come with a little drawing or idea and I’ll teach you to carve and print your own linoleum stamps. It’s two hours, no experience necessary, no sign-ups required, just first-come first-serve.
Article in The National
There is an article about my book in The National today, which explains a lot of my concepts and intentions with The End is at Hand.
