My work as an artist is often focused on using the human form and portraiture to display a figurative narrative to the viewer. These narratives have a wide subject range, including series of nautical heroes and maritime folklore, literary illustrations, romance and eroticism, philosophical and psychoanalytical theories, and absurdist humor. Within my work, I also explore handmade typography, bold patterning, and a combination of media. My technical mode of choice is the linoleum relief print, but I commonly work with drawing, painting, wood carving, screen printing, and intaglio. I design my imagery with a limited palette, often black and white to portray sharp contrast. To maintain a tactile and tangible aesthetic, all works are hand-made.
